I hadn’t planned to write this, but after reading William G. Dennis’ defense of George W. Bush and his referring to me (Sept. 7) as a “Bush hater,” I must explain myself. No, I don’t hate Bush. I hate what he and Dick Cheney have done to my wonderful country. Yes, we are still the greatest power in the world, but Bush has done more to destroy us than Osama bin Laden could ever have done. In fact, he’s increased Muslim anger that will come back to our children. This immoral Iraq war has ripped out our heart and soul....
