Cars are the greatest source of air pollution. The vehicular pollution in general accounts for nearly 70-80 percent of carbon monoxide and 60 percent emission of hydrocarbons and nitrous oxide gas into the air. The future looks bleak and hazy with the amount of traffic congestion and air pollution threatening to cause cancers of various kinds and other respiratory diseases.
